Keeping our promise of keeping you updated with the ever changing world of Fashion, we bring you the latest in Beauty trends from the recently concluded Haute Couture Fashion Week held in Paris.
Haute Couture literally means High Fashion in French and that's what this show is all about. All the best names (Chanel, Dior, Versace) go all out to create not just a show but an entire experience for the most star-studded front row ever. All the ensembles of this show are painstakingly created by hand using the most luxurious and high quality materials.
The apparel in these shows is super expensive and experimental and can't be worn by everyone. But that doesn't have to stop you from being ultra fashionable. We bring you (very doable) beauty trends from the exclusive world of Haute Couture.
We tried recreating these high fashion looks with Inglot Cosmetics and the results were GLORIOUS! Read on for our easy guides to becoming a Haute Couture Beauty.

CHANEL's Make-up was very understated in contrast with their wild hair and clothes. The clothes were Marie Antoinette-esque with opulent embroidery on tartans and wool. Silhouettes included beautifully constructed coats worn with cycling shorts, skirts included stiff full ones and even some ballerina skirts.
AMC Pure Pigment Eye shadow 59(Silver White), 30(Light Yellow), 55(Gold) Lipstick 106, Mattifying Loose Powder 3s
The skin was kept matte which can be easily achieved with Inglot's new Mattifying Powder. The eyes were a blend of gold and silver with silver near the nose eventually blended into gold. The look was finished with a nude pink lip.
ARMANI PRIVE complimented their Red, White and Black looks with a heavy smoky eye. The collection was a beautiful medley of graphic prints, origami constructions and polka dots! Shorts featured heavily, which is strange for an Autumn/Winter collection, but still chic. Armani's latex gloves in black or red are what caught our eyes and hearts.
Inglot Kohl Pencil, Under Eye Concealer, Translucent Loose Powder, Pure Pigment Eye Shadow 87, Sleeks Cream Lip Paint 93
Armani Prive kept it classic yet dramatic with a messy blended smokey eye. Start by applying a line of a blendable Kohl pencil at the base of the eyelid and blend with an eye shadow brush. Take some black eyeshadow powder in your brush and extend the line out in an exaggerated cat-eye. Keep blending to get the perfect mess. The skin is pale and clean. An under eye concealer followed by a translucent powder is key. The look is finished by a transparent red lip. Consider using a lipstain in stead of lip stick for a more understated red.
VALENTINO's designers, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaulo Piccioli described the collection as "Pagan Goddesses, Imperial Rome with a truth about beauty." The materials were archaic with a heavy use of nude lace and tapestry fabrics. We think the collection wasn't modern enough for 2014.
Inglot Slim Gel Lipstick 41, Eyebrow Pencil (brown), AMC Cream Concealer, Color Play Mascara 01 (Brown), AMC Face & Body Illuminator
Valentino's models looked like pre-raphaelite glowing angels. The look is achieved by starting with a clean base (use concealer and foundation to even out the skin). Make your eyebrows neat by running over them with a brown eyebrow pencil. Use a brown mascara on your lashes for a soft, subtle effect. Use liberal amounts of illuminator (a shade lighter than your skin) on all the aspects of your face you want to highlight - cheekbones, the T-zone, jawline and browbones to get a glowing effect. Finish with the lightest nude lipstick you can find.
DIOR's designer Raf Simons, sums up the collection by saying, "I never thought I would be looking at history from the 18th century - Marie Antoinette as an astronaut from 2000!" It couldn't have been put in better words. Floor sweeping embroidered coats, mini-skirts made of corsets paired with nonchalant sweaters and trousers were all made with impeccable tailoring.
Liquid Eyeliner Shade 27, AMC Pure Pigment EyeShadow, Lipstick 106, AMC Face & Body Illuminator, AMC Cream Foundation
Like the collection, Dior's Beauty look is also an amalgamation of the past and the future. The skin is stark and even with a touch of Highlighter. The eyes provide a touch of the future. Instead of an eyeliner, the artist has used a silver tape (similar to what we get in stationery stores) at the base of the model's eyelid. Though we don't know if the tape is safe for the skin, it's worth a try to get these beautiful statement eyes. The lips remain nude.
VERSACE's designer Donatella Versace said, "I wanted to concentrate on tailoring, on Fifties couture, but not as it was." The ensembles were eye-catching and distinctly Versace with a lot of skin on show. The gowns and skirts were split till the top and worn with sequinned black corsets and gold metal belts. The whole collection unabashedly celebrated glamour.
Inglot Lipstick 265, Cream Concealer,AMC Eyeliner Gel 86, Eyelashes, Freedom System Contouring Palette
Versace's look was accented by the eyes. The skin was matte and lightly contoured with special attention given to the cheekbones. Try contouring with Inglot's Freedom System. The eyes were painted a beautiful teal. If this look is too much, you can opt for a regular cat-eye in teal as well. Faux eyelashes made sure the eyes were in the spotlight. The look was finished with a warm nude lipstick.
